It was one of those silly situations when you realize that you don't have as much time as you thought you did.
I offered a special price for dancers in advance of the recent Dance/USA conference, and the lovely Penny Freeh took me up on it. Great! The conference was about a month away and we'd have plenty of time. She'd been thinking about a web redesign for a couple years and finally felt like the time was right! Then we opened our calendars. I realized I was out of town for two of the three weeks leading up to the conference. Whoops!
So we hammered out a schedule. Emails flew furiously between us, with occasional phone calls and a last polish-it-up meeting. So, in about a week, we brought a new penelopefreeh.com into the world.
Penny was ready with a sense of what she wanted on the site. I found a template that suited her aesthetic, and then we went to work. We ripped out the gray linen backgrounds and replaced them with all kinds of colors and textures. Then we did it again. We added videos to a template that didn't allow them. And in time for Dance/USA, we had a site up and running.
Penny has a new blog, can add her new dance works and update her own calendar. Success!
