I've got a new business name and a new website. Go to www.smilodoncreative.com to learn all about it!

Heartbleed and You

Despite having an unbearably poetic name, Heartbleed is not your new favorite band. It's a kind of big deal internet security problem.

Three overviews of Heartbleed:

2) A comprehensive hit list of major sites and their Heartbleed status.
3) An article about the NSA exploiting the Heartbleed loophole instead of fixing it.

What you can do to protect yourself:

1) Change all passwords that appear on the hit list. Then change your password on any site where you used the same password as one of the sites on the hit list.
2) Store your passwords in a password manager, like LastPass.  It significantly reduces the pain of remembering all those passwords by making you remember only one, very strong password.
Any questions? I'm not a security expert, but I'll give it my best shot.
