Despite having an unbearably poetic name, Heartbleed is not your new favorite band. It's a kind of big deal internet security problem.
Three overviews of Heartbleed:
2) A comprehensive hit list
of major sites and their Heartbleed status.
What you can do to protect yourself:
1) Change all passwords that appear on the hit list
. Then change your password on any site where you used the same password as one of the sites on the hit list.
2) Store your passwords in a password manager, like LastPass
. It significantly reduces the pain of remembering all those passwords by making you remember only one, very strong password.
Any questions? I'm not a security expert, but I'll give it my best shot.
